Purpose of roleThe Assistant will support the HR Business Partner (HRBP) in providing HR services to a number of assigned Faculties/Schools/Departments. The role holder will be mainly responsible for the operation and administration work, supporting the HRBP and the team in talent acquisition, talent management, and implementation of HR strategies, projects, policies and procedures.Main responsibilitiesRelationship BuildingProvide support to HRBP to regularly visit and meet with the leadership in Faculties/ Schools/ Departments.Provide support to HRBP to maintain networks and close relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver HR strategy.Strategy and PlanningCollect feedbacks from Faculties/Schools/Departments on HR strategy, plans and projects and identify their strategic needs.Assist HRBP/Officer in the development and implementation of HR strategy and plans to support Faculties/Schools/Departments in achieving organizational goals.Talent AcquisitionSupport the HRBP to develop and implement talent acquisition strategy, recruitment plans and Chinese Talent Scheme applications.Take HR responsibility for the full cycle of recruitment process and talent pool management.Maintain recruitment and employment records and conduct data analysis.Provide advice to managers, staff and applicants on recruitment related enquires. Escalate complex enquires to HRBP.Talent ManagementProvide support for HRBP to develop staff career paths and succession planning.Collect learning and development needs and feedback from Faculties/Schools/Departments.Collect requirements and feedback from Faculties/Schools/ Departments to improve HR procedures and services.Operation and AdministrationDeal with basic HR enquiries and requests from employees. Escalate special case to HRBP or Officer.Support HRBP to resolve people issues.Support HRBP or Officer to generate all necessary reports and statistics for management use internally and externally in an accurate and timely manner, analysing trends and metrics.HR ProjectsSupport HRBP to deliver projects.Support the implementation of projects led by other HR teams when needed.OthersSupport other HR teams where necessary.Participate in training and staff development events as trainee as appropriate.Maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness.Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.RequirementsEssentialBachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Marketing, Communication, English, or other related disciplineBasic HR knowledgeExperience working in HRGood analytical skills and relationship-building skillsExcellent multi-task and time management skillsFluent communication skills - verbal, written and presentation in EnglishProficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)Good collaboration and coordination skillsSelf-motivation and adaptabilityA commitment to professionalismDesirableProfessional certification in HROverseas study experience is preferredMaster’s Degree in HR, Business, Marketing, Communication, English or other related discipline is preferredExperience of working in Sino-foreign joint ventures/ international universities (highly desirable)Experience of working in international companies, especially professional services/ educational organisationsGood knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource management
