Who You’ll Work With
We are looking for a self-motivated embedded software engineer to join our software development team working on commercial products for cisco routing group at Shanghai CRDC. The ideal candidate would be able to define; design and implement for communication network elements, would be able to design, execute, and automate test cases, have a deep understanding for network and software development/testing process.
What You’ll Do
* Design and develop SW using software development best practices
* Integration testing of SW on HW platform including optimization and debugging of problems
* Team communication on new ideas and presentations to other team members
* Attend document and code reviews to provide peer feedback
* Ability to understand and translate business requirements and use cases into testable requirements
* Design test plans and test cases for feature, integration, stress, performance, regression and solution tests
* Execute tests, log problem reports, reproduce problems, and verify fixes
* Responsible for test bed and environment setup for feature, system, regression testing and problem recreation
* Work closely with customer support teams in recreation and resolution of customer reported problems
* Automate and execute feature, integration, performance, and solution tests
* Participate in test escape analysis and refine test process and/or regression test suites
* Contribute to and review engineering and end user documentation, product requirements, functional specifications, test plans, product literature, trouble-shooting guide, configuration guide, command reference, and release notes
* Experience and contribute to agile development methodology as team member, strive for continuous improvements in development/testing methodologies and productivity.
Who You Are
* M.S. or above in CS/CE/EE/IS/Automation Control, 2 years plus work experiences in industry;
* Strong programming knowledge with C/C++
* Knowledge of Embedded OS such as Linux and VxWorks
* Good understanding of communication network and protocols;
* Strong verbal and written communication skill in both English and Chinese
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply to work tasks
* Open minded and willing to take any challenge
* Hands-on knowledge of a scripting language, TCL/PERL/Shell/Python or other script languages
* Hi-end networking switch/router SW development experience is a plus
* CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certification is a plus
* Experience with large-scale team-based software development/test is a plus
* Cisco Router/Switch using experience is a plus
* Agile development experience is a plus
* MAC layer protocol development experience is a plus;
* Java experience and VM knowledge is a plus
* Senior positions required 7 years plus work experiences in industry are also available
