Department - Production Operations
JOB DESCRIPTION
Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration and database applications deployment. Work with the Release Manager and Technical Integration to control changes made to production databases
RESPONSIBILITIES
?Installing and upgrading MS SQL Servers.
?Monitoring MS SQL Servers to minimize downtime.
?Maintaining MS SQL Server databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security.
?Troubleshooting production issues and giving recommendations to the development teams.
?Deploying database changes.
?Migrating MS SQL Server databases between different data centers.
?Refreshing the data from production servers to the QA environment.
?Providing 24x7 support on weekly rotation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
?5 or more years of SQL Server DBA experience.
?Fundamental knowledge of SQL concepts (indexes, stored procedures, referential integrity, keys, metadata & etc.).
?Strong knowledge of WINDOWS environment and experience with Microsoft clustering.
?Experience in supporting critical production infrastructure.
?Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
?Good oral and written communication skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
?BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
?SQL Server Certifications.
