Job Description
Contract Manufacturing Material Management team in the Global S&OP and Planning Group, within the Manufacturing and Supply Chain (MSC) organization, is seeking a Materials Specialist that will assume a key role in managing consigned materials with our CMs (Contract Manufacturers) as well as across a virtual end to end supply chain team.
The Global S&OP and Planning Group manages end-to-end Finished Goods planning for the Microsoft supply chain, including supply, demand and inventory management. The group also manages planning for all Microsoft hardware & software components throughout the entire supply chain.
Key Responsibilities include:
? Manage consigned material transactions in SAP system
? Maintain system to system reconciliation between CM and Microsoft systems
? Anylize system transaction failures, develop resolution plans, and follow up on action items to closures
? Interact with CM material teams to maintain reconciliation of consigned material PO’s
? Anylize and validate CM’s S2S reports and create and publish system healthiness index to the management
An ideal candidate for the Global Supply Chain Materials Specialist role will have the following skills and experience:
o In depth knowledge on SAP MM module and experience on all types of material transactions
o Familiarity with material management, warehouse management and logistics execution processes and systems
o Project management experience and capable of problem solving
o Deals well with tough political situations and are proactive in building and maintaining a network of effective relationships
o Analyzes, explains and draws logical conclusions based on complex and ambiguous data from multiple content areas
Qualifications:
o 5 plus years of experience in managing material transactions in SAP environment
o At least 2 years of data management experience
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.
o Work well under stress with the ability to deliver on time.
o Strong Communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Build and maintain strong working relationships with relative CM and internal teams.
o Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese
