Responsibilities:

?Set function strategy and priorities; design development from initial concept to on-going product support
?Assist in the research and identification of customer insight and lead the development of new innovative solutions
?Create visual and functional prototypes for research and internal review
?Challenge assumptions and think innovatively to solve complex problems creatively
?Communicate design intent to factories by creating Technical Specifications detailing fit, finishes, color, graphics, etc.
?Maintain quality assurance standards for design and color integrity throughout the product lifecycle
?Understand current trends, materials and innovations within the design of small appliances
?Collaborate with Engineering and Product Marketing leaders to innovate, design and implement simple and elegant design solutions
?Sketch concepts for conceptual brainstorming as well as for presentation
?Bring products from concept to production.

Experience:
?15+ years experience in an Engineering leadership role involving the design and development of complex integrated assemblies and or engineering systems.
?8+ years of on the job experience in high volume motor driven Kitchen consumer products manufactured in China
?Previous experience managing staff and/or building a team of NPD engineers
