This role provides an exceptional opportunity to be part of a small, targeted team charged with enhancing the shopping experience by leveraging the power of Amazon platform. We will iterate fast, release frequently and try new things constantly.
The systems you work on will be required to serve traffic at global Internet scale across multiple data centers. High availability and scalability is a must. The systems you build will need to serve at high throughput with low latency. We expect you to leverage Amazon’s AWS infrastructure (S3, EC2, and other cloud technologies) to improve the customer experience. You will communicate with colleagues in the US, India, Europe, and Japan.
We are looking for outstanding Software Development Engineer who combines superb technical, communication and analytical skills. As an SDE in CN Tech team, your work will impact hundreds-of-millions of Amazon customers worldwide – not just China.
Basic Qualifications
? Minimum of MS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
? A deep understanding to object-oriented design and programming including familiarity with Design Patterns
? Proficient in building software applications in Java and/or Perl, preferably in a Unix/Linux environment
? Solid RDBMS experience, familiar with SQL
? Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, unit testing and functional testing
? Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with agile development methodologies Thorough understanding of Service Oriented Architectures
? Master at least one script language, such as shell, Perl or Python
